East Harling 227 - 3 beat Kirkley & Lowestoft Railway A 111 - 10 by 116 runs

For the first time this season Barry Wells won the toss and was able to choose to bat first on a hard dry wicket. Openers Stuart Hilton and Rob Freequickly put on 54 for the first wicket before Hilton was caught at mid wicket for 27 in the 13th over.Left hander Ross Pickerill then joined Free in a stand of 160 for the second wicket, combining a little bit of luck, dropped 3 times, with a fine array of shots. As often happens after a long stand Kevin Seymour was lbw for 0 first ball missing a straight one. Adam Howe then joined the fray scoring 11 from 6 balls as Pickerill ended on 67* only scoring 5 from the last 20 balls faced,Harling totalling 227 - 3.

Harling were confident that they good defend this total even on such a good track, Michael Pill bowled Pavier through his legs with the last ball of his first over. Duncan and Pathan then made a fight of it for putting on 59 in 15 overs before the drinks break claimed another victim, Stuart Hilton taking a well judged catch off Andrew Macrow to dismiss Duncan for 16. Steve Fowler accounted for Hayes lbw for 5 and then bowled Pathan for 44 as his shots became more and more desperate, leaving the visitors 73 - 4 from 21 overs. The innings then folded in the next 12 overs as Macrow claimed another wicket and Stuart Hilton and David Fowler two apiece, to go with Michael Pill's direct hit to run out Barnard,( not to him) finishing on 111.
